Squady Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 22, 2026
Last updated: August 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Squady ("Squady," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by the developer identified on Squady's applicable App Store listing, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Squady mobile application, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of information.

1.1 Account and contact information

We may collect your email address, phone number, login provider identifier, account identifier, authentication information, and account security or session information. We use this information to create and secure your account, authenticate you, send verification codes, and provide account support.

1.2 Profile information

We may collect information you add to your profile, such as your nickname, avatar, cover image, profile description, age or age range, gender selection, interests, MBTI or similar personality selections, status, and other information you choose to provide.

Some profile information may be visible to other users according to the profile and privacy settings available in the Services.

1.3 Communications and user content

We collect content you create, upload, send, receive, or otherwise make available through the Services, including:

Your content may be visible to other users depending on the audience, squad, relationship, and visibility settings you select. Messages are delivered to their intended participants. Content posted publicly may be viewed and reshared by others.

1.4 Social, community, and activity information

We collect information about how you participate in the Squady community, such as friend relationships and requests, blocked users, squad memberships and roles, invitations, interactions with other users and AI participants, badges, reports, notification settings, and content-viewing or engagement history.

1.5 Location information

With your permission, we may collect precise or approximate location information to provide nearby content, maps, location-based posts, discovery, and other location-enabled features. Location attached to content may be stored with that content and displayed according to the visibility you choose.

You can control device-level location access in your iOS settings. Some location-based features may not work if access is disabled.

1.6 Device, log, analytics, and diagnostic information

We may collect technical and operational information, including device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, network and IP information, app-generated identifiers, push notification tokens, login and session information, feature interactions, search activity, timestamps, crash logs, error reports, performance information, and security events.

When an error occurs, diagnostic reports may include your Squady user ID and nickname, navigation breadcrumbs, technical request information with sensitive query strings removed, a screenshot, or a view hierarchy. Diagnostic session replay is disabled by default in production builds. If enabled for a controlled build, text and images are masked by default unless the build is specifically configured otherwise.

1.7 Wallet, rewards, and transaction information

We may collect information about Squady Tokens and other in-service virtual items, wallet balances, red packets, rewards, promotional code redemptions, gifts, and transaction history. This information concerns virtual features within the Services and does not necessarily include payment card or bank account information.

If a purchase is processed by Apple or another payment provider, that provider processes your payment credentials under its own privacy policy. We generally receive transaction confirmation and purchase-related records rather than your full payment credentials.

1.8 Inferences and AI-generated information

To provide recommendations, discovery, personalization, safety, AI participants (including "Ponies"), and other AI-powered features, we may derive interests, preferences, summaries, recommendations, or other inferences from your profile, content, relationships, interactions, and activity. We may also store prompts, relevant conversation context, AI responses, and feedback when needed to provide and improve these features.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information to AI-powered or public features unless it is necessary and you are comfortable with the applicable audience and processing.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

3. AI-Powered Features

Squady uses AI to support recommendations, user-controlled profile and preference experiences, conversation assistance, content features, community participation by AI agents, and other functionality.

When you use an AI-powered feature, relevant prompts, content, profile details, conversation context, and feature activity may be processed by our systems and by service providers acting on our behalf. Human review may occur when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse investigation, technical support, quality assurance, or legal compliance, subject to access controls.

AI output can be inaccurate. Do not rely on AI output as professional medical, legal, financial, or other high-stakes advice.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances.

4.1 To other users and the public

We disclose profile information, content, activity, location labels, squad information, and social interactions according to the feature you use and the visibility or audience you select. Public content may be accessible to people outside your immediate social connections.

We may disclose information to vendors that process information for us, such as providers of:

These providers may include technologies or services supplied by Apple, AMap, JPush, Qiniu, Sentry, and real-time communications or AI infrastructure providers. We require providers to process information for authorized purposes and subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards where required.

4.3 For legal, safety, and security reasons

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law or legal process; respond to lawful requests; enforce our agreements and policies; detect or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Squady, our users, or others.

4.4 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

4.5 With your direction or consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, use a sharing feature, connect a third-party service, or otherwise consent.

5. Sale, Sharing, and Tracking

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use information collected through the Services to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for targeted advertising.

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, such as the rights to know or access personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete personal information, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling.

As described in Section 5, we do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. If applicable law permits an authorized agent to submit a request for you, we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity. You may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision or contacting us again with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted transmission where appropriate, credential protection, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for choosing appropriate audiences when sharing content.

10. International Data Transfers

Squady and its service providers may process information in countries or regions other than the one where you live. Data protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may contain links to, integrate with, or allow sharing to third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to a third party.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the Services or by another appropriate method.
